Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

AM  Made it to the gym this morning.  Did 6.5 miles.  Felt good overall.  Kept it at an 8.29 min mile and towards the end thru in some Fartlek's. 

PM After work decided to go ahead and go to the gym again since Marlin was going. Still trying to get used to a new boss.  He's actually a tempory boss until my new boss starts after the 4th. Did another 6.5 miles.  Legs alittle tired.   Took it easy for the first mile and worked up to 8.29 min mile.  Then decided to ride the bike for 20 minutes while Marlin finished up. 

Looking forward to the weekend!

Ran at the greenbelt this morning. More people out than I thought there would be.  But, that was alright.  Pretty good run overall.  Somewhat tired.  Enjoyed over by Snake River Landing.  Yesterday took the day off.  Just did a little bike riding to go see the fireworks.  And walked alittle during the day down by the greenbelt.

Ran this morning up in Island Park.  Took off from the cabin and ran up towards Buttermilk campground.  Shortly afterwords ran out of paved road to a dirt road.  Ran a while down that road and then decided to turn  around and head back to the main road.  Garmin wasn't working on this run so I'm thinking I did 6 miles.

So so nice to be at the cabin!

Ran after work today at the gym on the TM.  Legs were alittle tired but maintained 8 1/2 min mile for majority of run.  They may have been alittle tired from the hills yesterday up at Island Park.  I need to get focused again on training again.   Lots of stress going on.  Work is still hectic. Been busy with family & the 4th.  The latest is my uncle passed away yesterday.  But, still managing to fit some good runs in.  I was happy to get the 10 miles in today.

I enjoyed running around the river this morning.  It was great because my older sister recently started running. We'd gone down to the river together but ran separate.  It was great running into her along the way. 

Managed to get 7 miles in I was happy with that.   We had to keep it short because our uncle had passed away and we wanted to have plently of time for everything needing to be done.    It was great to spend time with everyone through out the day.  Sure made me appreciate the simple things and family!

Ran this morning around the river in town and around Freeman Park.  Just planning on doing the usual 6 miles.   Ended up doing 8 and then actually stopped to stretch.   Went and got a cup of coffee and even before I had some I decided to run another 2 miles since I was so close to 10.  I went back to the river and saw that Marlin was just finishing up.   He decided to go around the river 1 more time with me so I ended up with 10.30 miles for the day.  I knew it'd be another week before I got another run in so I really wanted the 10!

Ran this morning when it was cool.  Boy do I love the cooler weather!  Much better than running after work.   Had slept alittle longer than I wanted but I'd gotten to sleep later than I'd wanted to.   Plus, Marlin is out of town so he wasn't around.  Just to easy to sleep.

Well, I didn't run today!  I was so tired this morning I could not get myself out the door!  I'm not sure why I was so tired.  Could have been because it was such a hectic week last week.  Could be because Marlin wasn't there to motivate me.  Could be because works still hectic.  Could be because my mom's in Calif and I'm making sure my dad's alright.  I've been having to go over and feed him dinner.   Whatever it is I just didn't make it out the door.

Ran this morning the usual route at home.   I find it kind of interesting every morning when the goats and cows notice when I come by.  Maybe they want fed.   Joys of living in the country.

Today was suppost to be a day off.  I ended up meeting up with Marlin at the track after work.  I just ran 11/2 and did some core work and stretched alittle.   Hoping for a good run tomorrow morning.

Ran around the river this morning.  Took off from Best Western and went up and into Freeman Park.  Ran the loop there a few times and went back down around the river.   Decided to do one last loop to get in the 10.   Didn't feel the best but was able to push through everything pretty well.

Much better run today!   Got started later than I wanted to but it stayed cool enough.   Took off from Best Western again and just did the short loop around the river.  Was a little tired on the last loop but was glad to do it. Ran alittle extra to make it to the 10.5 miles.

Went camping this weekend so was able to run and get some good hill running.  Nice nd cool.   Then went on approx a 7 1/2 mile bike ride.   Good day.
